Having the proper lighting when taking underwater photographs is what makes or breaks the picture. The difference between a photo that is just blue and green and one that is vibrant in all colors depends on lighting. Once you descend below 15' to 20' (4.6m to 6.1m) you lose all red colors to the eye and your camera. The only way to bring them back out in your photos is with artificial light. So, a strobe or light is a must if you wish to take good colorful pictures or video underwater.

Having the proper mounting devices to allow you to place the artificial light just where you want it in your photograph/video is as important as the light itself. Use the Flex-Connect Single Tray to easily expand your underwater camera with an external light or flash. Mount a light directly to the tray or add a Flex-Connect Grip or Flex Arm for increased control and comfort. Attaches to any underwater camera with a standard 1/4-20 tripod mount. Tray includes mounting screw.

The tray mount clicks directly into any Flex-Connect arm, grip and accepts all Flex-Connect accessories and Sea Dragon Lights & Flash Heads (see SKU's: SLF6740, SLF6712, SLF6702, SLF675 and SLF96101).Instantly-connects Sea Dragon Lighting to a set with just-a-click and easily disconnects with a push-of-a-button. The Flex Arm allows for creative lighting, easy aiming, and reduced backscatter by positioning the flash or light farther away from the camera. Each arm has 100 Degree bending motion and adds 7" (17.8cm) of length.

Not using a SeaLife Light? This kit also includes a Flex-Connect YS Adapter to allow use of strobes or video lights with YS mounting. Tray, grip, arm and YS adapter are made of fiber-reinforced polycarbonate materials with stainless-steel hardware for maximum durability.
