HEED 3, manufactured by Submersible Systems, is a compact, lightweight and reliable Category A self contained breathing apparatus. HEED 3 is designed to increase the survivability of military and commercial personnel in case of an unintended submersion in water. Born out of a need to provide the US Navy Helicopter pilots with a small, handheld breathing device the Heed 3 has been saving lives since 1979. Ideal for all helicopters, fixed wing aircraft, float planes, watercraft and vehicles that operate around possible water emergencies.
HEED 3 has the smallest footprint of any EBS on the market, is lightweight and easy to use.
